Xavier Leahy

Xavier Leahy is coming to Music Camp and he’s bringing a whole lot of music and inspiration with him! Yes, it is the same Xavier who has been playing with us for years…whether he’s on his guitar, accordion, or fiddle, he always raises the roof!

Today, Xavier is an artist in his own right, playing with many other groups and artists as well as on his own. Growing up on a diet of traditional Irish, Scottish, French, and Ottawa Valley music, Xavier’s appetite for all styles has grown and propelled him into the worlds of country, jazz, rock, classical, and even electronica! His proficiency on many instruments has brought him both acclaim and attention. In 2024 Canadian Country artist, Brett Kissel invited Xavier to join him on his cross Canada tour. And starting in June 2025, Xavier will be joining Nashville based, Dallas Alexander on his cross Canada tour.

Xavier’s deep passion for music is not only obvious in his playing but in his writing and recording as well. With numerous compositions to his name, his sound is uniquely original and reflects his effortless ability to cross genres and integrate many styles into his creations. His heightened instinct for music makes him fearless when exploring the vast musical landscape that lies before him, and his deep respect for the power and gift of music keeps him honest in his pursuit of both excellence and evolution as an artist.

In addition to touring, for the last several years, Xavier has been teaching accordion, guitar, and fiddle to students in his hometown of Golden Lake, Ontario. With so many musical skills to share, we can’t wait for everyone at Music Camp to work with him!
